SUMMARY:Remarkable Men - Soulful Sunday Sessions
DESCRIPTION:SHAKEN AUTHENTICITY \nWhat you do you do when events outside your control question or shake your authenticity? Do you revert to old familiar (perhaps outdated) ways of being\, or set an intention to feel discomfort and set out to find new ways of being? Do you hide parts of you away or stand courageously even when there are no guarantees that others will stand with you? \nThis gathering will be a topical conversation about authenticity\, the effect of the pandemic and other world and domestic events\, isolation\, connection / disconnection\, health and long term changes both in our selves and in our lives. \nHow did we cope\, how are we coping now\, what has changed and is this for the better or is it more challenging? \nHas it brought you more in touch with your own authenticity or moved you further away from it? Has it made you braver or more fearful? Has it clarified or confused? \nAs gay / bi men has it affected us in particular ways? \nWhen we hold on to blame\, shame\, resentments\, or hustle for our worth through sacrificing our truest nature we move away from our authenticity. By understanding our stories we get to choose if we want to keep them or change them. \nRemarkable men has been through some changes over the last 3 years. \nIt is time now for another change\, a move back to in person meetings\, once a month. \nRemarkable Men is a facilitated space where a rich\, diverse range of Gay men meet to explore a topic that impacts our lives. \nDo you want to start Sundays feeling revived + invigorated?\nDo you crave a more interesting type of conversation?\nDo you want to connect in an open and non judgemental environment?\nDo you want to deepen your understanding of yourself? \nThe group was started by Darren Brady and is now run by Jonathan Ward who is a Courage Coach and certified to deliver the programs of Dr Brené Brown. He will guide the group in some fascinating conversations. \nNow in its 6th amazing year\, this Sunday ‘drop in’ group lifts the spirit\, emboldens and helps connect Gay men. \nWho is it for: Anyone who is curious\, open and committed to their self development is welcome to try out this group. \nWhat to bring: Curiosity\, life experience\, openness\, honesty and warmth! \nImportant to know:\nPayment on the day in cash please\n£15 waged\n£10 unwaged/retired/concessions

SUMMARY:Rising Strong™ Workshop for Gay\, Bi + Queer men (London - July 2022)
DESCRIPTION:Rising Strong™ Workshop for Gay\, Bi & Queer Men\n“The truth is that falling hurts. The dare is to keep being brave and feel your way back\n\n\nJoin us in July 2022 for Rising Strong™ Workshop for Gay\, Bi + Queer Men \n“The truth is that falling hurts. The dare is to keep being brave and feel your way back up” – Brené Brown \nRising Strong™ is a process based on the research of Dr. Brené Brown. Her pioneering work uncovered a profound truth: Vulnerability – the willingness to show up and be seen with no guarantee of outcome – is the only path to more love\, belonging\, creativity and joy. But living a brave life is not always easy: We are inevitably going to stumble and fall. \nThe Rising Strong™ process is about what it takes to get back up and how owning our stories of struggle gives us the power to write a daring new ending. \nFor over 10 years Ade and Darren have been delivering specially designed programs to the gay community and they are excited to bring this popular Brené Brown program to gay\, bi + queer participants. \nThis program has been generously supported by the Social Enterprise Support Fund from The National Lottery. Registration places are subsidised by this grant making it more affordable for the diverse range of participants we attract. \nTo secure your place please book early. \n3 minute video of Ade and Darren talking about Rising Strong \nRising Strong™ Workshop \nWe all go through struggle – asking somebody out that does not want us\, expressing our feelings and not being understood\, saying something at work that didn’t land very well; the list is endless – failing feels painful and can trigger shame\, disappointment and a whole range of emotions and thoughts. \nSometimes we avoid pursuing our heart desires because we fear failing. And sometimes when we do\, we don’t get back up and we give up. But if we want to break away from the crowd and live wholehearted lives\, we have to be courageous and different; doing this inevitable means we will sometimes fall. \nThis workshop is all about learning to get back up and how to become a highly resilient individual. How do we bounce back from failure? How do you recover from being exposed?   \nBy taking part in the Rising Strong™ Workshop you will learn how to apply the Rising Strong™ process to your day-to-day life and become empowered to write wholehearted new endings to your stories. You will also: \n\nBecome familiar with the physics of vulnerability and the ten rules of engagement for rising strong.\nIdentify the values that are most important in your life and learn why values clarification is essential to the development of resiliency.\nBecome familiar with the Rising Strong process and goals – rise from our falls\, overcome our mistakes\, and face hurt in a way that brings more wisdom and wholeheartedness to our lives.\nRaise your awareness about: the feelings associated with emotions\, your response to emotion\, and how emotion\, thought\, and behavior are interconnected.\nPractice and build skills to engage with and experience emotion\, including mindfulness and breathing.\nDeepen your emotional vocabulary and self-awareness\nComprehend that as humans\, we have meaning-making in our biology and are compelled to make up stories – even if they are based on incomplete information.\nReclaim and integrate orphaned parts of yourself and celebrate that wholeness through creative expression.\n\nThe Rising Strong™ workshop is an interactive mix of – \n\nPsycho experiential and educational exploration\nViewings of videos from Brené\, created specifically for Rising Strong™\nStorytelling\nGroup discussions\nCreative exercises\nCoaching\nSelf reflection and inquiry\n\nIncluded in the registration fee – \n\nYour personal Rising Strong™ workbook\nLight refreshments during the weekend\nPost workshop activity\nOptional coaching session with Darren Brady (to take place within 3 months of completion of the workshop)\n\n. \nDate: Saturday 2nd July (10am – 6pm) and Sunday 3rd July 2020 (10am – 5.30pm) \nFacilitators: Ade Adeniji and Darren Brady – Certified Daring Way™ Facilitators. \nwww.daringeurope.com \nABOUT BRENÉ BROWN \nDr. Brené Brown is a research professor at the University of Houston\, where she holds the Huffington Foundation Endowed Chair at the Graduate College of Social Work. Brené is also a visiting professor in management at the University of Texas at Austin McCombs School of Business. \nShe has spent the past two decades studying courage\, vulnerability\, shame\, and empathy; is the author of six #1 New York Times best sellers; and is the host of the weekly Spotify original podcasts Unlocking Us and Dare to Lead. \nBrené’s books have been translated into more than 30 languages\, and her titles include Atlas of the Heart\, Dare to Lead\, Braving the Wilderness\, Rising Strong\, Daring Greatly\, and The Gifts of Imperfection. SUMMARY:Remarkable Men - Soulful Sunday Sessions
DESCRIPTION:A walk in the park. \nFace to face connection with others is one of the irreducible needs of human beings. It is vital to our well being: emotional\, mental and physical. This has been thwarted in the last 2 years. \nAs part of our return to being with others in person\, we will meet for our second “walk and talk” \nWe will meet at Great Portland Street tube and meander through Regents Park as we spend time making\, renewing and deepening connection with each other. \nThere will be questions provided to initiate conversation and during the walk we may stop to reflect as a group. \nIt would be wonderful to see you for a Sunday morning walk in the park. \nRe-imagination: Re-markable Men takes a new direction. \nThis is the beginning of a new direction for Remarkable Men. (see below for more details of our twice monthly meetings) Also please note the new start time of 10.30. \nCertified Life Coach Darren Brady ( Co founder of The Quest for Gay Men) and Courage Coach\, Jonathan Ward are both certified to deliver the programs of Dr Brené Brown and will guide the group in some fascinating conversations. \nFrequency: The group will now be meeting twice a month on the 2nd and 4th (5th?) Sunday of each month. \nThe 2nd Sunday of each month will be a “flexi-meet”. It may be in person in a venue\, on line\, a hybrid meeting or a walk-and-talk meeting in a park. This might be a coaching circle or a co-facilitated space (with Jonathan Ward). \nThe fourth (sometimes the 5th Sunday of the month) will be a Zoom call facilitated by Jonathan Ward. \nBeginning in September 2021\, this will focus for the next 12 months on “The Artists Way” by Julia Cameron\, working through the 12 chapters\, one each month. You do not need to attend them all to get the benefit of attending one. You can drop in as you feel\, although they do build incrementally from one to the next. \nImportant to know:\nPayment will now be asked for before the meet-ups.\n£15 waged\n£10 unwaged/retired/concessions \nBuy a block of 5 Up-Front for a discounted price of £69 (to be used within 3 months of purchase) or a 10 Up-Front for £130 (to be used within 6 months of purchase) \nTo book your place please use this link and select your ticket: https://bookwhen.com/jonathanw

SUMMARY:Remarkable Men - Soulful Sunday Sessions
DESCRIPTION:Connection: \nAsk people about love and what is often shared is stories of heartbreak. \nAsk people about connection and they will often tell you about disconnection. \nWhen we feel disconnected from ourselves and others\, life can feel solitary\, isolated\, dreary and dull. It can lose its meaning. \nIt means that something is missing ~ to get back to this place of connection we have to \npause and \npause and \npause \nand listen to what is missing and to honour what we need. \nIN this session we’ll take time to listen to our needs and to understand how jealousy\, scarcity\, perfectionism and fear of risk might get in the way of connection to ourselves and others. \nRe-imagination: Re-markable Men takes a new direction for the Autumn. \nThis is the beginning of a new direction for Remarkable Men. SUMMARY:Remarkable Men - Soulful Sunday Sessions
DESCRIPTION:Building Resilience in Difficult Times. \nThis Sunday we will meet in person meeting in Bonnington Square. \nIn the past month our world has shifted. \nOur hopes were rising\, the possibility of an emergence from the restrictions of the pandemic. \nThen war\, stark images\, constant reporting of suffering. We choose to watch or not to\, always knowing it is there\, happening\, much closer to us than is comfortable. \nWhat do we do when we see this suffering? We offer help when we can in any way we can for those in the midst of something that they have not chosen. Our hearts open for their pain. \nIn these challenging times we also experience our own suffering: helplessness\, powerlessness\, guilt\, grief\, loss\, anger\, despair\, confusion. \nIt can feel indulgent\, perhaps selfish to think about focussing on our own struggles and yet\, seeing images\, reading about what is happening\, difficult emotions arise\, whether we want them or not. \nIf we are not able to take care of our own emotional well being\, to care for ourselves with kindness and compassion\, to meet emotions as they arise and to build the resilience to be with what is hard\, it becomes more and more challenging to be there for others. \nThis Sunday will be a space for\n: sharing our struggle (Covid\, post covid\, rising costs of living\, the war in Ukraine to name but a few)\, and acknowledging how challenging it is\n: recognising our common humanity (one of the steps of self compassion)\n: ways to respond to take care of our own needs for kindness\, support and connection \nI hope that you can join me for this important support for yourself. \nCertified Life Coach Darren Brady ( Co founder of The Quest for Gay Men) and Courage Coach\, Jonathan Ward are both certified to deliver the programs of Dr Brené Brown and will guide the group in some fascinating conversations. \nFrequency: The group will now be meeting twice a month on the 2nd and 4th (5th?) SUMMARY:Remarkable Men - Soulful Sunday Sessions
DESCRIPTION:Abundance: (in relation to money) \nDo you live from a place of scarcity and not enough-ness around money? Do you limit what you allow yourself out of fear or not deserving? \nThis week we look at how our attitudes might limit both financial and creative abundance in our lives. \n“Creativity is the foundation of all change” \nWe have to be able to creatively imagine a new way of being before we can make it happen. \nWhen our creativity is blocked\, shut down or has become inaccessible\, change becomes harder. \nIf you are serious about change\, this is a great place to begin. \nRe-imagination: Re-markable Men takes a new direction for the Autumn. \nThis is the beginning of a new direction for Remarkable Men. (see below for more details of our twice monthly meetings) Also please note the new start time of 10.30. \nCertified Life Coach Darren Brady ( Co founder of The Quest for Gay Men) and Courage Coach\, Jonathan Ward are both certified to deliver the programs of Dr Brené Brown and will guide the group in some fascinating conversations.

DESCRIPTION:A walk in the park. \nFace to face connection with others is one of the irreducible needs of human beings. It is vital to our well being: emotional\, mental and physical. This has been thwarted in the last 2 years. \nAs part of our return to being with others in person\, we will meet for our second “walk and talk” \nWe will meet at Speakers Corner and meander through the daffodils and crocuses as we spend time making\, renewing and deepening connection with each other.
